I'm still playing around with 3D models 8-). The ships of EVE-Online [link] are just fascinating and easy to convert into common 3D formats. This time the scene was set up and rendered in 3ds Max, the background was created with Chris Colefax' [link] galaxy-include-file for POV-Ray, the planets were added in Corel Photopaint.

PS: The EVE client is available for free at [link] , the conversion tool TriExporter [link] for the ships is sanctioned by CCP [link]

VERY nice looking... I have a question though... I decided to try out that TriExporter, however, I have troubles finding the right textures for the ships... Care to share any advice on how to find the proper textures?

I'll be damned, literally. I used to be a Minny ceptor pilot, and a nasty one. Loved my stiletto. Gave it up tho, real life just too intense now to deal with that game. Still impressive.
